This past Thursday, March 25th, Stable View Equestrian held their annual Spring FEI CCI-S 1,2,3, and 4* in Aiken, South Carolina. Stable View was the kick-off event for the new Adequan FEI/USEF Youth Team Challenge that took the place of the North American Youth Championships. Area 1 had a full roster for the CCI-S 2* team with riders, Elizabeth Gill, Libby Scruton, Jack Curtis, and Ayden Schain. The GMHA Junior Horsemanship Clinic is celebrating its 65th Anniversary in 2021! This is a premier Eventing clinic in the northeast for youth riders ages 9-17. However, all riding disciplines are encouraged to attend. Riders bring their own horses or ponies to camp, and receive two quality mounted lessons and two unmounted lessons every day. Riders will school all three phases of Eventing: dressage, cross-country, and show jumping. The professional staff and extensive facility makes this an amazing opportunity! The USEF has announced the host sites of the inaugural Youth Team Challenge, listed below. Also, the deadline for riders to submit their Area Declaration to the USEF has been extended to February 15. We have 19 Area 1 Young Rider members, so far, who have submitted their Area Declaration to the USEF to be considered for a team! Yes, 19!!! We can field up to 2 teams and 2 individuals for each of the levels at each of the short format events, and 1 team at each level for the Finals in Tryon.
