We are delighted to open registration for this year’s Area 1 YR Camp. Our annual “all inclusive” YR Camp returns to GMHA in 2018. Camp starts with arrivals on Monday 16th July (4-6pm) and runs through Thursday 19th July at 5pm. Expert under saddle instruction from top trainers plus guest lectures and horsemanship training throughout the week. Special guests and trainers will join us in 2018. Three days of lessons from the “Best of the Best” in Area 1.
The Area 1 YR Camp is exceptional value at $699 inclusive of overnight accommodation with chaperones in luxury apartments at The Ascutney Vacation Resort (swimming and leisure facilities on site to enjoy), Bus Transportation to and from GMHA, Breakfast and Dinner and stabling all included. EMT on site, vet and farrier on call plus night watch services. Fun prizes for our Area 1 YR’s going the extra mile.
Highlights for 2018 Area 1 Young Rider Advancement Camp :
- Camp is expanded in 2018 to accommodate 30 horses and riders from BN to Preliminary level.
- All riders must have completed one USEA HT at any level …or…can be trainer recommended to attend! (typical campers are aged 12-21)
- Parents chaperoning for the camp are eligible to bring their horse if desired (stabling fee applies) – new in 2018!
- Young Adult YR’s (18-25) may be eligible for a discounted registration rate if working as a Camp Counsellor in 2018
- Excellent preparation for Fitch’s Corner Horse Trials, July 21st – 22nd. Those riders competing at Fitch’s Corner may stable overnight on Thursday 19th at GMHA and trailer down with friends on Friday 20th (additional $30 stabling fee applies; riders will need own accommodation) – new in 2018!
- Early Bird Registration Discount – sign up on-line prior to April 1st, 2018 and register for just $649. After April 1st registration will be at the regular rate of $699 – new in 2018!
- Area 1 YR Camp Flier– print the poster and promote the YR Camp at your barn = bring your friends for even more fun!
