2025 Area 1 Championships

The Area 1 Championships are held on an annual basis and take place within Area 1 usually late summer or early fall. Host sites are to be announced annually at the Area 1 Annual Meeting and deadlines to apply for to host the Championship are due by November 1 prior to the targeted host event. Championship Levels:
Preliminary, Modified, Training, Novice, Beginner Novice, and Starter.
Championship Divisions:
If sufficient entries (each division must have at least 5 riders), the division may be split between Junior and Senior. Levels may also be divided into Open, Rider, and Horse Championships.

The qualifying period is August 18, 2024 through July 29, 2025. In the qualifying period horse and rider combinations must meet all the requirements listed here. Please note different levels have additional qualifications. It is the responsibility of the competitor to know the know the qualifications and terms of these championships and enter in accordance with those specifications. Competitors who have improperly entered a championship division will forfeit their placing and awards.

July 29 – Championships Entries Close & Qualification Period Ends
August 16 – 2025 Area 1 Championships Begins

USEA American Eventing Championships – AEC
2025 American Eventing Championships

The United States Eventing Association American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds is the annual championship for every level of the Olympic equestrian sport of eventing, from Starter to Advanced, in America. The 2025 AEC is set to take place August 27-31, 2025 at Galway Downs in Temecula, California.
Championship Levels:
Advanced, Intermediate, Preliminary, Modified, Training, Novice, Beginner Novice, and Starter.
Championship Divisions:
If sufficient entries the levels may be divided into Open, Amateur, Rider, Horse, Junior, Senior, Junior/Young Rider Championships, etc.
USEA Adult Team Championships:
The Adult Team Championships take place in conjunction with the AEC. The USEA Adult Team Championships (ATC) is the capstone event for the USEA Area Adult Team Challenges. The ATC provides adults with the chance to compete as a team and represent their Area in a friendly and fun environment. More information about the ATC can be found here.

Final: Morven Park International & Fall Horse Trials

October 10-13, 2025
“US Equestrian is pleased to announce the introduction of a new national championship format for FEI CCI1* through CCI4* level competitions, aiming to broaden accessibility and opportunity for participants targeting national championship recognition regardless of geographic location. The US Equestrian Eventing National Championships League will launch in 2024, with the inaugural champions to be crowned in 2025.” The full press release can be found here.
Championship Levels:
CCI1*, CCI2*, CCI3*, CCI4*
Championship Divisions:
Each level offered is to be split into four divisions: Overall, Professional, Amateur, and U25 (CCI1* FEI ages 12-15, CCI2* FEI ages 14-25, CCI3* FEI ages 16-15, CCI4* FEI ages 18-25).
The participation period begins and ends at Morven Park International & Fall Horse Trials, October 10-13, 2024 through October 9-12, 2025. All specifications including qualifying criteria, how to win, and scoring can be found here.
