In mid-2023, Area 1 Young Rider, Rory Cashman pitched the idea for a podcast during a committee meeting. Now a few months later, it’s finally here. Grab a snack, maybe a warm drink and get to know Area 1 a little better!
Meet The Host:
High schooler, Rory Cashman began riding at the age of six at a hunter jumper barn. It wasn’t until a few years ago Rory made the switch to Eventing after meeting current trainer, Katherine Cooper at Beniah Lane Farm. With the help of Katherine, Rory found Sandy Prince, a 13-year-old Thoroughbred owned by Greer Melville, and Rory’s Eventing career began. Together Rory and Prince compete at the Novice level. Wanting to learn more about Area 1 and Young Riders, Rory joined the Young Rider Committee and brought forth the idea of a podcast after being inspired by Major League Eventing.
