Area 1 Annual Meeting & Eventing Clinic – Be Eventing Ready!
Saturday, January 4 – mount holyoke equestrian center
Sunday, January 5 – Willets-hallowell center
What could be better than a winter eventing clinic open to all!!
- Late morning through lunch, an unmounted discussion with a panel of experts to help us gear up for the 2025 season.
- Afternoon mounted training session with demo riders led by Jerry Schurink designed to teach auditors.
What to Know:
- Panel discussion with top Area 1 riders, coaches, and a judge sharing their experience & providing us with ideas & tools for how to make the most of the winter season.
- Approximately 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Mounted session with Demo Riders – 2 groups (Starter to BN & Novice to Training) limited to 4 riders per group
- Approximately 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
- Jerry will begin with a dressage/flat session followed by a jumping session.
- Goal – provide information, tools & exercises we can take home and use to prepare for the upcoming season.
What are the Costs:
- Saturday clinic only – Auditors – $35.00
- Saturday clinic only – Demo Riders – $100.00
- Saturday clinic & Sunday annual meeting combined (Auditors) – $60.00
- Saturday clinic & Sunday annual meeting combined (Riders) – $125.00
- Area 1 Annual Meeting, Sunday only – $35.00
What to Do:
- Register for the clinic! We really need to know how many of you are likely to come, so please help us and register early! (need registration form & link)
- Be a Demo Rider! Great opportunity to ride with a top clinician & help Area 1 eventers! Please fill out the application (Rider Demo Application) and return it by December 10, 2025.
- Mount Holyoke Equestrian Center does have an auxiliary barn for stabling if we need it (costs TBD)

- Join us on Sunday, January 5 (silent auction, award celebration for 2024, Keynote speaker Jerry Schurink, annual business meeting) and quality time with your eventing buddies! (Registration Link will be available soon!)
Highlight! Come to both!
- We have reserved a block of 10 rooms at the Hotel UMass in Amherst, MA for the night of January 4 at the reduced rate of $125 for the night.
- The Hotel will hold this block until December 5, 2025 (30 days prior to our event). After that, rooms will go back into inventory, so think about booking early! The hotel has a 48-hour cancellation without a fee.
- You will need a credit card to hold the room, no charge until the day of arrival.
