Apple Knoll Farm is pleased to offer a World Class Grooming Clinic with Emma Ford, former head groom to Olympic Individual Bronze Medallist, Phillip Dutton.
The clinic is open to all ages and disciplines; anyone who wants to improve their horse health care and management knowledge.
Emma has 24 years of on the job experience to share. (Everything from stable management-first aid-wrapping & leg care to show turn out and clipping).
‘World Class Grooming’ and ‘The kids Guide to Horsemanship and Grooming’ will be available to buy , which Emma will happily sign. Already have the book, bring it along for signing.

CLINIC SCHEDULE:
Wednesday, August 16th, 2023
Session 1: Home Care (8:00am – 12:00pm)
- How well do you know your horse?
- Grooming techniques to bond better with your horse
- Leg care
- Wrapping 101
Session 2: Competition Care (1:00pm – 5:00pm)
- Braiding
- Improve your turn-out skills
- Leg care post competition
- Correct use of studs
- Trailering tips
PAYMENT:
Payment due upon submitting entry. (A 1.9% service charge should be added for all venmo and Paypal transactions)
$10 Late fee may apply after 24 hours of non-payment after submitting entry.
**NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS after closing date, unless space can be filled ($25 office fee).**
RATES (All Fees Are Non-Refundable):
- One Session (Includes water & snacks) – $125
- Full day (Includes lunch) – $225
RELEASE: Online liability release ALL RIDERS, GROOMS, AUDITORS & VISITORS TO APPLE KNOLL MUST SIGN THE LIABILITY RELEASE PRIOR TO ATTENDING
RULES:
- Apple Knoll Farm reserves the right to decline any entry for any reason.
- ALL areas of the farm, except the designated riding areas, are restricted.
- Dogs MUST be on leash and non-disruptive.
- USEF, USEA, and USDF guidelines apply.
- Certified helmet with attached chinstrap required when mounted. Clinic attire accepted.
- Clinic will run regardless of weather.
