A little about the clinician: Ryan Rudy
Ryan is a 2002 graduate of Assabet Valley Vocational High School with a certificate in Automotive Technology. Ryan has been working on trucks and trailers since the age of thirteen. He holds multiple licenses and certifications with National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence in heavy and light duty vehicles as well as having a Commercial Driver’s License. He is currently a General Foreman for a DPW’s Equipment Maintenance Division. Ryan has been hauling trailers for many years and has a vast knowledge in DOT rules and regulations which pertain to hauling horse trailers. His passion for horses started at a later age when he met his wife. Ryan learned to ride on a friend’s horse and quickly discovered the rodeo circuit. He currently owns a Quarter Horse named Bandit and they attend multiple APRA and Jackpot rodeos during the summers.
After attending numerous rodeos and horse shows, Ryan discovered there was a lack of knowledge for trailering safety and maintenance. He observed trailers anywhere from being pulled by the wrong tow vehicle to not having working brakes. After being asked by multiple people for trailering information, Ryan, along with Jessica Halliday, feel the importance of trailer safety and maintenance is something every horse owner should know. In this clinic, they will cover everything from properly hooking up your truck and trailer and maintenance to preparing your horse for his journey. We all love the precious cargo we tow behind us to shows, clinics, trail rides and rodeos!
