Thunder Crest Performance Horses is thrilled to host Tik Maynard for a 2-day clinic on June 15-16, 2022!
Tik focuses on the thoughtful starting and training of performance horses, especially in the disciplines of dressage, showjumping, and eventing. He encourages riders to take into equal account the psychology and the performance of the horse. Training is done with classical training principles, with the modern knowledge of animal behavior, and with empathy.
Day 1: Groundwork – Participants will focus on building more effective and empathic lines of communication by learning about how their horse learns and what motivates them.
Day 2: Under Saddle (Flat or Jump) – Participants will translate the communication and connection to under saddle work, either on the flat or over jumps.
