Alex began his equestrian career working for international event riders Beth Perkins and Ashley MacVaugh in Hamilton, MA. After earning a BA from Boston University, he spent three years gaining invaluable experience riding sales horses, schooling competition horses, starting young horses, conditioning upper level horses and competing while working for Australian eventer Ryan Wood out of Philip Dutton’s True Prospect Farm in Pennsylvania. He started Conrad Equestrian in the spring of 2018 and has developed a core clientele of eventing and dressage focused students and owners. Alex particularly enjoys training and competing young horses and off the track thoroughbreds, as well as coaching riders and teaching clinics. He is based out of Fox Race Farm in Amenia, NY and teaches in Hamilton, MA and Durham, NH.
