The Area 1 Young Rider Program is excited to welcome Tack Attic as a sponsor for the Spring Symposium. The Spring Symposium will occur on Saturday, April 5 at UNH Equine Center in Durham, New Hampshire.
Tack Attic is a Consignment Store selling quality used tack and apparel for horse and rider. Betsy Coburn-Porter began working at Strafford Saddlery in 2021 and discovered an interest in the consignment business within those walls. She didn’t have a big hand in it the first year while there were other employees with more experience in that particular department, but she learned as much as she could before she stepped out of the shop for 6 months following the birth of her first child, Jaxon. Jaxon is now well known by Strafford Saddlery customers and will be following Betsy into the Attic as she begins her new endeavor in owning the consignment business. Annie Penfield has owned and operated the Saddlery for the past 29 years and is graciously handing the torch over to Betsy to run consignment. Tack Attic is excited to take over for Strafford Saddlery in this department and we hope to see all the same familiar faces we have come to know from the wonderful horse community here! Below are some of Betsy’s favorite horses from her past and present.

About Area 1 Young Riders
The purpose of the program is to support and encourage Area 1 members up to the age of 25 to become involved in the sport of Eventing and perhaps continue this involvement into their adult lives as members of a US Team, volunteers at local events, coaches, trainers, competitors, and consumers of equine products.
