Dear Eventing Athletes, Officials and Organizers
Please be aware that changes to the USEF Rules for Eventing for 2018 include the adoption of a number of additional permitted bits for the Dressage phase of USEF National Eventing competitions. In addition, illustrations of permitted bits have been moved from Appendix 4 of the USEF Rules for Eventing to Annex 1 on the USEF website. This change will allow for the timely adoption of new bits as they are approved in the future. The complete USEF Eventing Rules can be found here.
The FEI has released their Eventing Rules for 2018. Additionally, the FEI provides additional memorandums, FAQs and clarifications on their Eventing pages. Please make sure you are familiar with these documents before competing in an FEI event.
