Specialty: Caroline is the head trainer at Orchard Hill Equestrian Center in Berlin, MA. Orchard Hill is a premier eventing facility with a full cross-country course up to novice and several showjumping rings. Excellent facility for cross-country schooling a young/green horse with focus on smaller inviting jumps. Water jump, banks and ditches of all heights. Larger boarding facility with 50 stalls, 75′ x 200′ indoor, standard dressage ring and two outdoor jumping arenas. Experience producing horses to intermediate and CCI* levels, with dressage training to 2nd level. Enthusiastic, patient trainer for riders starting out in eventing (intro) through preliminary. Caroline specializes in young and green horses with a calm, pressure free approach to training.

Stephie’s base is at Course Brook Farm in Sherborn Ma. A 60 acre event/dressage training/boarding facility.Amenities include cross country the Preliminary,a large jump ring,dressage rings and 2 indoors.The farm offers 2 or 3 recognized events and 3 schooling shows yearly. Stephie is available for lessons,training rides,x co schooling at Course Brook,as wella s some offsite lessons and clinics .Also available for coaching at manny Area 1 andArea 2 events and beyond.

Experience;     Stephie has been teaching riding and training horses and competing at Horse Trials and FEI competitions for 45 years.She has trained numerous green horses. Four of those horses she trained from green to 4 star levels ,one to 5 star level as well as many others to the Preliminary,Intermediate and Advanced levels.

She enjoys working with all ages and levels,working with  green horses,especially TBs  and doing unmounted educational lectures as well as teaching for Pony Club.

Major Achievements;   Stephie has competed at the advanced level including KentuckyCCI 5* and Burghley CCI 5*(England)

She also competed at CICs and CCIs at North Georgia,Thirlestane Castle( Scotland),Fair Hill ,Essex,Radnor, Bromont(Canada)and Quertero(Mexico)

She was Shortlisted for the World Championships in 1998 and trained with the American Team in England and also participated in several USET training sessions.

Trained with;  was a working student for world champion Bruce Davidsonfor over 4 years.

Stephie also trained with,Capt. Mark Phillips,Jack LeGoff,Rick Sullivan,Kathy Connelly,Sandy Osborn,Lauren Stevens and Arlene Full.

Stadium course on grass, large outdoor sand arena, small dressage arena, indoor arena. Farm offers a variety of adult camps and clinics monthly. Schooling horse trials offered in the fall. Instruction: Erika is a MA licensed instructor with over 20 years of teaching/training experience. She is a graduate Pony Clubber who has competed through Intermediate level eventing and successfully completed several CCI*’s including an 8th Place at Radnor Hunt. She has started and trained several ex-race horses to be successful eventers. She is currently competing her young thoroughbred Twice Wild at Training Level.
Program: Working primarily with adult amateurs to provide safe, quality instruction for the lower levels of dressage and eventing with emphasis on proper balance and comfort of horse and rider. Some school horses are available. Beginners are welcome.
Coaching: Available at local shows and Area I horse trials.

Facilities: Two locations – Birch Hill Farm, located in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, is a complete training facility specializing in the development of young Thoroughbreds into Event horses. Situated on 400 acres, the facility includes a 15 stall barn, complete with amenities. Winter Book Farm is located in Southern Pines, North Carolina. 14 stalls, separate guest wing with its own wash stall, feed and tack rooms. The facility includes a regulation size dressage arena, show jumping field, turf track and a complete cross country schooling course suitable for the training of horses at all levels. Winter Book is adjacent to the more than four thousand acre Walthour-Moss Foundation which has many miles of hacking and conditioning roads and trails.
Instruction: Mark placed third at the Rolex Kentucky CCI****, eighth at the Burghley CCI**** and won the USET Fall 3-Day Championships at Fair Hill in 1994 and again in 1998. Mark has represented the U.S. in the Open European Championships in England as a member the USET/USEF Team and was short-listed for the U.S. Olympic Team for Atlanta in 1996. He is a licensed USEF Dressage and Eventing judge; he has had his “r” Dressage rating for 25 years and his “r” CT (eventing) for approximately 10 years. Mark has also been appointed a USEF Eventing Selector, a position he has held for about 6 years. In the course of his career, Mark has had the privilege of training under the likes of Jack LeGoff and Capt. Mark Phillips thanks to his involvement with the USET and USEF teams.
