The 2025 USEA Area 1 Championships concluded on Sunday, August 17. For the past three years, Genesee Valley Riding & Driving Club has hosted the Championship at Hideaway Farms in Geneseo, New York. This year’s Championship consisted of seven divisions from Modified to Starter and 47 horse and rider combinations contesting for the Championship title in their respective divisions.The date and location of the Championship for 2026 will be announced at the Area 1 Annual Meeting later this year on November 16, 2025.
“I want to thank all the competitors that came to Geneseo to compete this year. They came out ready to compete and to win, and they did a fabulous job,” said Judy Rossi, Area 1 Chair. “I cannot thank the GVRDC team enough for the absolutely amazing job they did putting on a fabulous event with great courses that were exciting to ride and exciting to watch. I also want to thank all the generous sponsors that made this event truly special for everyone whether they competed in the Championship divisions or the regular horse trial divisions. GVRDC, in my opinion, exceeded every expectation for what a great horse trial should be.”
The date and location of the Championship for 2026 will be announced at the Area 1 Annual Meeting on November 16, 2025.
