Fitch’s Corner HT hosts CIC One Star

Fitch’s Corner Horse Trials, Millbrook, NY will host a CIC one star on July 25-26-27 celebrating its 15^th anniversary with a weekend of horse and social activities. Fitch’s will be the only one star in Area 1. Five thousand dollars in prize money, Tiffany & Co. sterling silver trophies and an array of prizes to the winners makes Fitch’s Corner HT a destination for Preliminary, Training, Novice Masters and Novice competitors to ride over the updated course and new water complex designed by Captain Mark Phillips. Dressage will be held on Friday, with cross country on Saturday and Stadium on Sunday. Opening date for entries is June 10.

In addition to the Horse Trials the weekend will feature Paragon Jousting performing in traditional tournament style in Saturday and the Collector Car exhibition and Parade will be on Sunday – both in the Stadium Arena and free to the public.

Fitch’s Market, 35 specialty boutiques, all under a large marquise tent, will be a shopper’s delight with selections of fashion, accessories, hats, jewelry and products for home and horse.

The social events will include the Blue Jean Ball attended by competitors and supporters, themed as “A Knight to Remember” featuring Fitch’s organizer, the Eric Hill Band and DJ Joe Cool on Saturday night and the Spectator Benefit Luncheon on Sunday. The luncheon, sponsored by Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate, will support the Millbrook Rescue Squad, with ladies in hats, if convenient. Guests who attend will dine on menu created by celebrity guest Chef Cruz of Lupe Ostreia of New York City and prepared with produce from local Hudson Valley farms by The Farmer’s Wife in Ancram, NY.
